CASES Online is a collection of inquiry-based lessons to engage K-12 and undergraduate students in exploring the science behind real-world problems. Through CASES, teachers can help students become motivated investigators, self-directed and life-long learners, critical thinkers, and keen problem solvers. The cases are grounded in problem-based learning, investigative case-based learning, and related student-centered pedagogies. The cases include relevant National Science Education Standards. Users must register to acess materials, but registration is free.

Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness Network

The Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness Network (CLEAN) Portal was launched in 2010 as a National Science Digital Library Pathways project. It is led by the science education expertise of TERC, the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Science at the University of Colorado Boulder, and the Science Education Resource Center at Carleton College. CLEAN stewards the collection of climate and energy science educational resources and supports a community of professionals committed to improving climate and energy literacy. CLEAN’s website holds hundreds of resources on climate and energy for secondary and higher education students. The resources have been rigorously reviewed by educators and scientists, and are ready to use in the classroom. Resources include learning activities, visualizations, videos, short demonstrations/experiments, and teaching guidance.

Code.org is dedicated to expanding access to computer science and increasing participation by underrepresented minority and female students. Code.org believes computer science should be part of core curriculum so every student has the opportunity to learn computer science. In addition, Code.org works to increase diversity in computer science by reaching students of all backgrounds and skill levels in ways that inspire them to continue learning.
