BRMHS [Baton Rouge Magnet High School] wins 2020 Louisiana regional science bowl

Students from Baton Rouge Magnet School High competed and won the 2020 Louisiana Regional Science Bowl held at the University of New Orleans in New Orleans on Saturday, March 7.

Students participating in the competition were Krishana Pochana, Khanh Pham, Cindy Zhang, Jay Iyer and Rahul Ramaraju. The team will now be invited to compete in the National Science Bowl

The National Science Bowl® is held at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center located just outside of Washington, D.C. Regional winners are invited by DOE to attend the national event. In 2019, ~111 teams will receive all-expenses paid trips to compete for the national title. In addition to the academic competition, students attend presentations by well-known scientists on current topics in math and the sciences.
